Greg Blatt – Following Passion to Success

Greg Blatt is a business leader with an extensive career. After completing his bachelor’s degree in literature, he traveled the world. He spent this time in places like Telluride, France, and Budapest. The jobs he took kept him financially stable while he explored his interests and searched for his professional calling. He found that calling at the Columbia School of Law, where he earned a Juris Doctor degree.

From Columbia Law, he went to work at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, a respected law firm in New York City. His focus on mergers and acquisitions helped him make a name for himself. His travels prior to law school helped him to easily acclimate to the new job as well as life in a major metropolitan area.

Greg turned his focus to entertainment law next, becoming General Counsel for Martha Stewart when she took her company public. He joined her company, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc, where he served as both General Counsel and Executive VP.

His experience with Martha Stewart, built on the foundation of his time with Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, prepared him for his next big move to IAC. He started in the roles of Executive Vice President and General Counsel before working his way into the job of Senior Vice President. IAC then offered to put him in an operations position for a new start-up which would eventually be called the Match Group.

Based in Dallas, Texas, the Match Group gave him the chance to explore a new environment. He enjoyed the local culture while laying the foundation of the entire industry of online dating. Greg Blatt also took on the role of CEO of IAC and helped consolidate their brands and businesses.
